Yeah, but have you seen all the stuff happening with Tiger lately? He makes Tom Watson a favorable alternative to the farce going on in his personal life.

It's true, I haven't really given Tiger much T.V. attention. I admit, he's good, but I definitely enjoy Tom Watson. He's something special.

I do think there's some Americans who turn on the TV, see a bunch of burnt-out heather and high grass, watch balls rolling up and around as if on a carnival ride, and they think it's not golf.

I for one am glad Tom Watson lost the British Open in a playoff to Stuart Cink. Colorful announcer and fellow pro golfer Gary McCord is banned from being an announcer at the Masters golf tournaments in Georgia because he once referred to the greens there as being "smooth as a ladies shaven legs."

Tom Watson thought this outrageous description of the greens at the Masters where only recently Black caddies were permitted on their sacred course warranted him from ever being able to announce there again.
